Aims and Scope
The Ali Journal of Neurosciences aims to:
-
Provide a scholarly platform for neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroscientists, and allied professionals to share original research and clinical experience.
-
Facilitate the dissemination of evidence-based knowledge in both clinical and basic neurosciences.
-
Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration across neurosurgery, neurology, neuro-radiology, neuro-anesthesia, neuro-rehabilitation, and related fields.
-
Support research culture and academic growth at national and international levels, particularly among early-career researchers.
AJNS considers original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, and editorials in all areas of neuroscience.
Peer Review Policy
Ali Journal of Neurosciences operates a double-blind peer review system, ensuring that the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess scope, formatting, ethical compliance, and similarity index. Manuscripts meeting these requirements are forwarded to independent expert reviewers.
Reviewers are requested to submit their evaluations within the stipulated timeframe to ensure timely processing. In cases of delayed responses or conflicting reviews, additional expert opinions may be sought. Final editorial decisions rest with the Editorial Board.
Open Access Policy
Ali Journal of Neurosciences provides open access to all published articles. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, and share published content for academic and research purposes, with proper acknowledgment of the source.
Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication.
Plagiarism Policy
AJNS maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using standard plagiarism detection software prior to peer review.
-
The overall similarity index must not exceed 19%, in line with HEC guidelines.
-
Excessive similarity from a single source may lead to rejection.
-
Manuscripts exceeding acceptable limits may be returned to authors for revision or declined.
Manuscripts derived from an M.Phil. or PhD thesis must clearly declare the thesis title, supervisor name, department, institution, and year of submission at the time of submission.
Text Recycling and Publication Ethics
Text recycling and self-plagiarism are discouraged. Manuscripts showing substantial overlap with previously published work will be evaluated for originality. Authors may be requested to revise overlapping sections or provide appropriate citations.
AJNS follows internationally accepted standards of publication ethics. Allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data manipulation, will be investigated by the Editorial Board. Necessary actions, including correction or withdrawal of articles, will be taken where required.
Article Processing Charges
Ali Journal of Neurosciences does not charge any article processing or publication fees at present.
This policy has been adopted to encourage researchers, particularly early-career authors and contributors from resource-limited settings, to submit their work and participate in scholarly publishing.
